At the March 11 monthly Wallaceburg Minor Lacrosse
Association (WMLA) board meeting, Ken O’Neil officially stepped down as WMLA
President after six years of dedicated service. Ken shared his gratitude,
saying, “Thank you to all the coaching staff, teams, parents, board members,
and most importantly the players for a fantastic journey. It’s been truly an
honour.”
We’re excited to congratulate current Vice President Rob
Mason, who will step into the role of WMLA President. Rob expressed his
appreciation, stating, “I’d like to thank Ken for everything he’s done for the
organization during his time on the board. His dedication and vision helped
achieve things many thought weren’t possible."
Rob has been a committed member of the WMLA board for six
years, serving in various roles such as Sponsorship Director, Treasurer and VP. We are confident he will continue to lead
with passion and dedication.
“I’m excited to see the continued growth and enhancement of
our lacrosse experience for all our young players. With lacrosse thriving at an
incredible pace in Chatham-Kent, we’re ready to take the Griffins to the next
level!” Rob added.
Congratulations to both Ken and Rob! We are grateful that
Ken will continue to lend his experience and wisdom in the role of Past
President.
